Mandan Police Investigating Assault

Mandan police are looking for information in connection with an assault that took place over the weekend. Police were called to a hospital at around 2:30 Sunday morning to speak with a woman about an assault.

The woman says she was walking in the area of 3rd Street SE and Riverwood Ave SE at around midnight when she heard a male voice yell something. When she turned, she was hit in the face and fell to the ground. While on the ground, a male choked her until she passed out. When she woke up, no one was around.

The woman says she saw two males. Both appeared to be white and in their mid-twenties to early thirties. One was wearing a black hoodie. Both had a strong odor of alcohol.

The woman was treated and released.
