818th Back in North Dakota Today

| 3/22/2013

Nearly 100 soldiers with the North Dakota National Guard 818th engineer company are returning home to North Dakota today. A huge crowd is waiting for them to land at the Army Aviation Support Facility in Bismarck.

The 818th has been going through demobilization in Texas, after serving a year-long deployment in Afghanistan.

They lost two soldiers, Sgt. First Class Darren Linde and Specialist Tyler Orgaard, in an explosion last December. Specialist Ian Placek was wounded.
