Bombers Go to Ground | Video

Jacob Kaucher | 8/11/2012

You`d think with a nickname like Bombers, Lewis & Clark-Our Redeemer`s would be big on an aerial attack.

Instead, the offense in Berthold this year is all about the ground game.

And it makes a lot of sense when you think about the talent the Bombers have.

Tailback Mitchell White is coming off a break-out sophomore season.

And the fellas blocking for him are the best o-line the team`s had under third-year head coach George Duenas.

"Technique-wise, they know my lingo now. They know what I expect," head coach George Duenas says. "And just the attitude. I see an attitude in them. They expect things from themselves, so I`m excited."

"I think that we`re going to be a lot more downhill," senior lineman Logan Gunderson says. "And I think that coach is going to rely on us more, which is a good thing. Because I think we got some big guys and we can - we`re hoping to average quite a few yards per carry."

"I`m having higher goals this year," junior running back Mitchell White says, "to get more yards - more yards per carry. Average more yards and get more touchdowns. It is gonna be a lot more fun."

The Bombers start their season on the road August 25th at Richardton-Taylor.
