Sioux Young and Thin | Video

For Westhope-Newburg-Glenburn it`s time to keep the fingers crossed.

With only 25 players this year, even one injury could wreak havoc on the whole season.

On top of that, the Sioux are a young team.

A number of freshman could play significant minutes.

Where they are experienced is in the offensive back field.

Third-year starting QB Hunter Braaten will be key for both playmaking and leadership.

"If they need help," head coach Tom Nesvold says, "they can look to him to help get them lined up in the proper formations. He`s definitely one that`s going to try to lead more by example. But when they need some help, need some prodding, ge`s gonna be there."

The Sioux will play up a class to start the year visiting Bottineau out of AA on Tuesday.
