TGU is coming off a run to the 9-man football playoffs despite having a very young team a year ago.
The Titans have seen a lot of the younger players mature physically.
And with some depth on the line they`re hoping to play a fast-paced style on offense.
It`s on the defensive side where TGU expects their growth from last year to pay dividends.
"Last year we just couldn`t match up physically with some of the better playoff teams," head coach Scott Thorson says. "And they`d pound it at us and we`d get blasted into the backfield. That`s where we look to improve probably the most team-wise."
"We`re an aggressive defense," senior defensive tackle Kevin Vollmer says. "We`re active. We`re physical. It`s a great defense in my eyes."
The Titans start their varsity schedule the 25th of August against Surrey at Minot State`s Herb Parker Stadium.
