"Last year we had to take a bus to Denver and it kind of left us a little flat and so we`re hoping that will be better. We`re not at altitude which is a huge factor for us to race at sea level which we think will be an advantage for us as apposed to going up and racing ten altitude schools."
Newell says the course is a little flatter and faster, plus it`s where the national meet will be in a few weeks. Melissa Agnew is the Marauders top runner.
"She has speed. She has the school record in the 800. She also runs amazing cross country for 6,000 meters so to have an athlete to run 800 to 6,000 meters she does great indoor. She does great outdoor. She does great in Cross and he all-american`s are spread out all the way through all three seasons," Newell said.
The Marauders are ranked 17th in the latest national division two poll.
