But the Bearcats have the number one ranking right now.
"It kind of compounds it the way the season ended with both of us playing in that championship game last year. They have more returners than we do back but I know we`re looking forward to it our kids are and then the next night we turn around and play Four Winds in Rugby and Four Winds have a very good team as well that challenges us, I think that prepares us for the end of the season and if we take a loss or two along the way I don`t think it hurts us," said head coach Jeremy Brandt.
North Star has four starters back and two of them were all-state players. Beulah won at state, but the Bearcats dominated their regular season game last year.
"We can measure ourselves up for that game and see where we`re at in the season and use it as a stepping stone in trying to get back to the state tournament, a lot of hype goes on with that game going up there and it`s kids of become a rivalry the last two years," said senior Trevor Zacher.
"It`s kind of turning into a rivalry a little bit but they came and beat us pretty good so I think we have to go up there and contest them a lot more. It should be fun. It should be a great game," said senior Cody Nelson.
Tomorrow night`s game between the top two ranked teams in the state is in Cando.
