Championship Celebration | Video

The Bismarck Blizzard won a state hockey championship last weekend and they are celebrating that achievement, as we speak, at Wachter Middle School. Maybe it`s fitting that they are not at one of the high schools because Tournament MVP Kennedy Blair is still not in high school. She`s a freshman at Horizon.

"When you let in one goal over 80 something shots that`s unheard of, that has to be some sort of record in the North Dakota girls state hockey tournament first off but she is a competitor every day at practice, she pushes herself to get better every single shot, every single drill, every single day," said coach Annie Cashman.

The Blizzard are saying so long to four seniors who played a big role in the championship.

"When I took over last spring I met with them and I said this is going to be your team you can make it whatever you want but I don`t know these kids well enough to start making demands of them. You guys will know them better that I will so I will do whatever you think we need to do to be successful but you guys need to lead," Cashman said.

The Blizzard handed West Fargo it`s only loss to a North Dakota team in the championship game.
