Fallen Heroes Memorial On Display

Posted: Updated:

A memorial to honor 21 fallen heroes of our state is on display at Scheels.

A brief ceremony to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice was held at the store this morning.

Names of the soldiers were read to the crowd that gathered to honor the fallen men.

"These warriors represent the best of America and each has a story to tell. Thankfully this exhibit provides us with the opportunity to reflect and honor each North Dakota hero that lost his life in the global war on terror," says General David Sprynczynatyk.

"We go to funerals and we see family members and we make one promise. We make the promise that we will never forget. We will always remember their sacrifice," says Senator Heidi Heitkamp.

The display will be up until July 12th.
