OSHA Investigates Construction Deaths

Posted: Updated:

The Mountrail County Sheriff's Department and OSHA are investigating the deaths of two men working construction on a radio tower just northeast of New Town.

The men, 42-year-old Namon Smith of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and 25-year-old Zachary Roberts of Lakeland, Georgia, were working on structural supports on the tower at the time of the incident.  The two men were working at the 250-foot level of the tower when one man fell, striking the other man, and causing him to fall as well.
