Urban Harvest Kicks Off in Downtown Bismarck

Posted: Updated:

With 40 craft and food vendors, plus a farmer's market, the 9th Annual Urban Harvest has a little something for everyone.

Some came with one goal in mind:

"The produce is what we really came here for!" Janice Berdahl.

Founded in 2005, Urban Harvest has grown to be a summer tradition to explore and support local businesses.

"We can showcase the best of Bismarck-Mandan. We have the best in local crafts. The best in entertainment and the best food," says associate director Tina Mitchell.

The festival runs every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until August 15th- with special events packed into the day including live music.

"It's a free family event. It supports our community and brings people together," says Mitchell.

For the next five weeks, people will have the chance to meet  local farmers, chefs, artists and business owners in an old-fashioned farmer's market atmosphere that can only be described as a Bismarck-Mandan festival.

"Come on down, we have some great entertainment every. Ever Thursday is different. "
