Anniversary Committee Seeks Logo Entries

Posted: Updated:

A local contest is giving local artists a chance to showcase their work.

November 2, 2014, marks the 125th anniversary of North Dakota's statehood, and the North Dakota 125th Anniversary Committee is calling on local artists to submit design ideas for the official logo for the celebration.

The contest is open to all North Dakotans, amateurs and professionals alike.

Logo designs should feature images representative of North Dakota's rich history and heritage, as well as opportunities for the future.

"North Dakota is gearing up for a fun-filled, year-long celebration marking the 125th anniversary of our statehood, and involving the public in designing the observance's official logo is a great way to kick things off," says Lt. Gov. Drew Wrigley. "We look forward to seeing the creativity and ingenuity of our fellow North Dakotans as they help design a logo that will depict our state's storied history and bright future."

Contestants can submit their original designs by e-mailing Janean Rambough at jmrambough@nd.gov with the subject line "Logo Contest." Multiple entries are allowed, but must be submitted individually. The deadline is Monday, August 12.

For more information, visit www.history.nd.gov or call 701.328.1430.
