Judicial Boundaries To Change

Posted: Updated:

North Dakota's judicial districts will be changing.  After reviewing the caseloads in each district, the state Supreme Court decided to create one new district, and move several counties from their current district to a different one.

Kidder, Logan and McIntosh Counties will move from the South Central Judicial District to the Southeast Judicial District.

A new district, the Northwest Central Judicial District, will be made up of Burke, Mountrail and Ward counties.

Divide, McKenzie and Williams Counties will make up the Northwest Judicial District.

The new districts will be effective January 1, 2014.
