Spike Out Violence

Posted: Updated:
The Abused Adult Resource Center is holding its 9th annual "Spike Out Violence" sand volleyball tournament this weekend.

The two-day volleyball tournament is divided into three divisions: men's, women's and co-ed. Players can come out, learn a little bit more about domestic violence in our community, yet still have some fun in the process. And most importantly, know that the money donated is going to a good cause.

"All of the money that we raise this weekend goes directly back to victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault in our community, and to help create a community, free from domestic abuse and sexual assault," says Katie Oliver, Event Coordinator for the AARC.

Last year, 38 teams participated in the tournament which raised more than 4,000 dollars for the AARC.
