Enrollment Increases at Bismarck Public Schools

Posted: Updated:

Enrollment for Bismarck Public Schools is continually on the rise. And for the second year in a row, the district has counted more than 350 new students.

To combat the massive student intake,  Bismarck is building two additional elementary schools and a high school on top of reconfiguring schools, redistricting, and relocating students to new locations.

"Given the fact that we've had that much movement of children and staff, we're just really grateful for parent's who've worked through the bugs with us. We believe kids got where they needed to go. We had a very smooth very calm start to the day in almost every places across the district," says Bismarck Public Schools Superintendent Tamara Uselman.

This year, Bismarck Public Schools has enrolled a record 11,776 students.
