Here's background info on Team Myla Paying it Forward:
Team Myla was organized in the spring of 2012 by Lea Geis, a co-worker and friend of Myla Wescom's from Bismarck High School in an effort to support Myla as she began a second and more severe battle with Stage 4 Breast Cancer that metastasis to the bone. Myla has been a special education teacher of students with learning disabilities in the Bismarck Public schools for 17 years; 15 years at Bismarck High School, Solheim and now Rita Murphy Elementary. Myla and her family are very appreciative of Lea and all of the Team Myla members who showed their support last year. It was her wish to Pay it Forward and help other BPS staff and families.
