North Dakota is getting some money back from Washington.
The Department of the Interior will repay the state more than $1.5 million in mineral revenues. That amounts to 5.1% of North Dakota's total mineral revenues for Fiscal Year 2013.
The federal government had withheld the money because of sequestration cuts. But North Dakota's congressional delegation, along with leaders in other states, said the mineral revenues were not included in federal spending cuts.
