High Speed Chase

Posted: Updated:

McKenzie County Sheriff deputies were in a high speed chase over the weekend. On Saturday, Montana State troopers told officers about a red Honda Civic going 77 in a 25.

The car was entering North Dakota on Highway 200 in Fairview.

Spikes were set up near Arnegard, but the vehicle stopped before it came to that point, and both people in the vehicle gave themselves up.

The driver of the car, 33-year-old Christopher Russell, is being charged with a slew of things including class double A felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver with aggravating factors, class C felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and class A misdemeanor fleeing from police officers.

The passenger, 31-year-old April Lacey, is being charged with class double A felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver with aggravating factors, and class C felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Russell and Lacey are being held at the McKenzie County Correction Center.
