ND Safety Council Offers Hazwoper Course

Oil and Energy related work can be a dangerous. In order to make sure workers are getting the job done safely and effectively, the North Dakota Safety Council is holding a hazwoper course in Minot next week. The three-day course is designed to ensure faster emergency response when people are around hazardous materials.

"We really try and emphasize priority is protecting is your own health. Recognizing a release being able to back away properly and notify the proper supervisor and proper authorities accordingly," says safety consultant Mike Meschke, Northwest North Dakota Safety.

Courses are being offered throughout the state of North Dakota. To sign up for a course in your area, visit ndsc.org.
