YMCA Zumbathon

Posted: Updated:

If you stopped by the Bismarck YMCA today, you were probably wondering why there was around one hundred people dancing.

It was for the fourth annual Party in Pink Zumbathon. After three successful years, the Bismarck YMCA continued the Zumbathon to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which collaborates with non profits all over the world to raise funds for breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs.

Since the YMCA started the Zumbathon in 2010 they have raised almost five thousand dollars.

"I just absolutely love teaching and I just think it's great that we can use such a popular dance class like zumba and all come together and just raise quite a bit of money for a really great cause," says fitness instructor, Erin Reidman.

75 percent of the Zumbathon Ticket Fees will go to Susan G. Komen for the cure.
