Clark Becomes Interim President at BSC

Posted: Updated:

There's a new President at Bismarck State College. This morning The State Board Of Higher Education approved Larry Skogen's recommendation to have David Clark take over as the interim President of the school.

The special approval meeting was short and to the point. Clark served as the Executive Vice President for BSC. Interim North Dakota University System Chancellor Larry Skogan considered outside applicants, but an internal hire made the most sense to him. Clark agrees saying it will be a smooth transition.

"I've been here 23-24 years. I know our faculty. I mean, I know our administrators. And they know me. It probably, you know, helped my situation some," says Clark.

Clark has worked at Bismarck State College for 24 years, serving 10 years as Executive Vice President. He will be the Interim President until Skogen's term as Interim Chancellor ends at the end of June 2015.

As for who will take over as Executive Vice President of the school, Clark says right now that also will probably be internal.
