Zumbathon Fundraiser

Posted: Updated:

The cooler temps were in the air today, but kids from the Century High dance team were staying warm by busting a move in leg warmers, sweat bands, and neon tights.

It was an unconventional way to raise money, but it seemed to work. From two to four today, the Centahnas danced non-stop to raise money during their zumbathon. The money raised from the 80's themed zumbathon will go towards uniforms and other needs the dance team has.

"It's just kind of like a fun theme that just like gets everyone pumped up and it's just like...it's fun," says Century High Dance Member, Mikayla Glatt. "Yeah, it gets people into it," says Century High Dance Member, Keanna Hauglie. "We just get to be with each other and it's just a fun experience. It's good bonding, too...meeting new people."

The dance team says there was at least 70 people attending the zumbathon.
