Authorities Arrest Suspects in Bank Robbery

Posted: Updated:

Two men were arrested in connection to a Medina bank robbery. The men are accused of robbing Northland Financial Bank by gunpoint on Friday morning.

Upon receiving the money, the robbers fled from the bank in what authorities believe was a blue Chevrolet Trailblazer. The vehicle was later found abandoned on a gravel road south of Medina.

Officers believed the suspects then took off in a light-colored, late-model Lincoln Navigator.

Rendell Hardy, 40, of Florida, was arrested on Friday, after police located the car outside of a Dickinson residence. Hardy was arrested as he was driving away.

Satrone Boyd, 34, of Lincoln, was arrested at a Fargo motel on Saturday.

Authorities involved in the investigation say it took cooperation among law enforcement agencies and the help of the public to make the arrests.

"We're very fortunate in North Dakota to have a strong working relationship with just about every agency in the state. When everybody gets on the same page and compares notes, it works like clockwork. And we're actually able to make a significant amount of progress on solving cases in a short amount of time," says Sgt. Mike Hanel, Dickinson Police Department.

Both men face charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Hardy is being held for $400,000 bond. Bond for Boyd is set at $200,000.
