Spicy Pie Donates to Cancer Care Center

Posted: Updated:

For one Minot business, they're taking their work from the kitchen to the community.

Last month, Spicy Pie in Minot worked to collect money for the Trinity Cancer Care Center to help raise awareness for breast cancer.

Employees wore and sold special pink t-shirts designed for the fundraiser.  In addition, for each slice of pizza sold during the month of October, 10 cents was donated to Trinity.  And, for every pizza sold, $1 was donated.  Word traveled quickly.

Today, Spicy Pie presented The Trinity Cancer Care Center with a $2,500 check.

"It feels really good just to know we donated that money towards cancer.  It was a good feeling," says manager Shayla Lund.

Spicy Pie hopes to continue to create partnerships and serve the community
