NDSU Extension Service Educates Producers on Tax Updates

Posted: Updated:

It's never too early to start preparing for tax season. That's why North Dakota State University Extension Service is educating Ag producers and tax preparers on Monday, November 18 on the federal income tax updates while there is still time before tax season begins. There will be four three-hour question and answer sessions.

Interactive video sites for the program will be held throughout the state of North Dakota. IRS issues to the affordable care act will be discussed at this program.

Sessions will be held at the following locations:

  • Bismarck State College
  • North Dakota School for the Deaf
  • Bottineau County Courthouse
  • Dickinson State University Klinefelter Hall
  • North Dakota State University in Fargo
  • County Office Building in Grand Forks
  • Law Enforcement Center in Jamestown
  • North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton
  • NDSU Research Extension Centers in Minot, Langdon and Williston

"So that essentially makes it easier for farmers and ranchers to attend the programs. They don't have to drive down to Fargo or Bismarck or wherever that speaker is going to be. They can right here in Minot. We hook them up over a TV system and they're able to learn, ask questions, interact with the speakers just as if they were there in person," says Paige Brummund, NDSU Extension Agent.

Sessions begin at 9 a.m. For additional information of registration, you can call the NDSU Extension Service in Fargo at 231-8642.
