Trinity Doing Allergy Study

Posted: Updated:

Trinity Health is participating in a new national cat allergy study that could open the doors for the development of a new form of allergy treatment.  As many as 25 percent of Americans may suffer from cat allergies according to the American College of Allergy and Immunology.  To help lower that percentage, Trinity Health is looking for people who own a cat who either know they are allergic, or suspect they are.  "Cat dander is in every single American household.  It sticks to everything, it comes in when you walk through the door on your shoes, on your clothes, it blows in on the wind, and it lasts for a long, long time.  Whether you have cats or not, it's still everywhere," stated Trinity Health Allergy Specialist Dr. Michael Reder.

If you're interested in participating in the study with Trinity Health, call their main phone number at (701) 857-5000, and ask to be transferred to Clinical Studies to see if you meet the study requirements.
