North Dakota Author Overwhelmed with Support

Posted: Updated:

An NDSU grad, turned author, was in Bismarck today for a book signing.

After a career in broadcasting, Josie Blaine moved back to North Dakota to begin her journey of writing stories. Her book, Something About Sophia, is a historical fiction novel that's based on stories told to the author by her grandmother and she says she is overwhelmed by the success of the book.

"I've had some pretty good response to something about sophea," says author, Josie Blaine. "Today's been pretty busy and Amazon sold out in a day and some of my friends across the country need to wait almost a month to get their book. And I couldn't believe it. I have been overwhelmed by the response to this book-my little story that I was only going to put together for my grandmother for a labor of love."

Josie is currently working on a trilogy of stories that are based on her family history.
