Health Department Assesses Salt Water Release

The North Dakota Department of Health was notified about salt water release about 10 miles south of Marmath in Bowman County.

About 50 barrels of salt water were released from the site and flowed into a nearby stream, known as Kid Creek. The salt water has since been contained. 

Inspectors from the Department of Health are testing upstream and downstream to assess the environmental impact.

The release was reported by Denbury Onshore, LLC. reported the release.
