Train ND Looking to Expand

Posted: Updated:

Train ND is looking for help and support to expand their resources and build a new northwest center.

Such a facility will provide opportunities to hold workforce training classes, educational classes, business meetings and other events.

"We are trying to build a new facility for workforce training. We provide training for over 10,000 people per year, and we've kind of grown out of the space on campus that we have. So, we would like additional space, but more importantly we have over two million dollars in donated equipment in our training field. We can see lots of advantages to be located near that training field" explained Deanette Piesik, the CEO of TrainND.

Train ND is looking to various companies, individuals, and foundations that they're already partnered with to contribute to the project.

"We are really looking at the people who use our training facility to help us get this new training area. We do hope that the companies will donate to the project" added Piesik.

They're looking to raise anther 1,500,000 dollars and time is of the essence.

"I guess our challenge is we have to raise this money in a short period of time. We've already made plans with our builder, so we know what it's going to cost. So we do have a timeline and we're trying to raise this money by the end of February. This is a big challenge for us. We have about six weeks to raise 1.5 million dollars" said Piesik.

The plans boast a 19,740 square foot training and education center, with state of the art technology along with large class and conference rooms.

Pledge forms, information, and any other questions can be directed to Deanette Piesik via email at Deanette.Piesik@willistonstate.edu.
