Henrikson Not Being Released

Posted: Updated:

A Watford City man will remain in jail on federal gun charges. James Henrikson, 34, appeared in court this afternoon.

Henrikson was arrested in Mandan on January 18 for being a felon in possession of firearms, however, authorities also suspect him of other crimes.

In today's testimony, U.S. Postal inspector Thomas Irvin said Henrikson is suspected of money laundering and fraud and may be linked to organized crime in California. Irvin says he's also been connected to death threats, including Tex Hall, the chairman of the Three Affiliated Tribes.

Henrikson is also a person of interest in the disappearance of his assistant, 29-year-old Kristopher Clark, also known as K.C., who's been missing since February of 2012, and in the death of Doug Carlile in Washington state.

Fifty-year-old Timothy Suckow is charged with killing Carlile.
