Utah Man Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges

Posted: Updated:

A Utah man is sentenced to four years and two months in prison after police arrested him for possession and intent to distribute meth.

Rodney Kirk, 46, moved from Spanish Fork, Utah, to Williston in 2011. Shortly after arriving, he began importing meth from Utah and distributing it in North Dakota.

In October of 2011, law enforcement searched Kirk's residence in Williston and found seven ounces of the drug, valuing $15,000 to $20,000 on the street.

After pleading guilty, Kirk faces prison time followed by three years of supervised release.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Williston Police Department and the Northwest Narcotics Task Force.
