Alzheimer's Association Offers Training Sessions

Posted: Updated:

A North Dakota family is looking to educate caregivers across the state on how to live and care for someone with Alzheimer's.

Deb Kraul and her family are holding the sessions for her father Dwayne who has the disease. The sessions will take place in Fargo, Williston, Minot and Bismarck. Some of the topics will cover personal experience, the process of the disease and how to enjoy moments with someone with memory loss.

"I'm hoping that it will get to the point that they'll look at a person who has Alzheimer's and know that there is something more than what you're seeing. That there is a person back here," says Dorie Liffrig.

If you are interested you can register by calling the N.D. Alzheimer's Association at 701-277-9757.

Mary Cate Mannion will have more on the Liffrig's story at 10.
