Posted: Updated:

People are still coming to Williston everyday looking for jobs. With one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation, people know there are opportunities. One of the ways people get achieve these opportunities is through the Williston Job Fair.

The job fair is just around the corner for people looking to find a job. It will be a one day event on March 13.

"From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., we have what's called vet preference," says Cindy Sanford, Job Service. "Anybody who is veteran they can come and get a first look."

Sanford says anybody who comes make sure you bring an up to date resume.

"The number of vendors will be the same because of space constraints," says Sanford. "Like I said, we've had numerous calls, so I know that we'll fill probably by the end of this week."

They've received a lot of phone calls from people interested in the job fair. These calls haven't been strictly from locals, they have gotten calls from all over the country.

"There's a whole bunch of companies that are going to be there," says Kurt Geisling, job seekser. "Great companies. Solid. Williston based companies. Probably a number of great candidates too."

Geisling came to Williston for work. He says he will go to the job fair to find a company that fits him.

"Specifically, a great company." Geisling says. "A good job. A nice opportunity in accounting particularly."

Like Geisling, many are going to attend the job fair to find that opportunity to be a part of the work force again.

In case anybody missing this job fair, there will be one in Dickinson on March 25 and another in Minot from March 31.
