Fargo Senator Seeks Public Service Commission Seat

Fargo Senator Tyler Axness says he will be seeking the democratic endorsement to run for the Public Service Commission.

Axness was elected to the State Senate in 2012 and says he wants to serve on the PSC to ensure that our states natural resources are put to use.

"We talk about transporting through a pipeline, that's been referred to as a sandpiper pipeline, to a refinery in Wisconsin. Why aren't we putting that to use in North Dakota? Why aren't we looking at a long term plan that is using what is under our ground, under our peoples land and putting it to use right here in our borders," says Axness.

The seat was vacated by Kevin Cramer when he was sworn in to the House of Representatives last year.

Julie Fedorchak was appointed by the governor to fill the seat and is also running for the position.
