Minot Police Investigating Murder

We have more information regarding the murder of Karrie Williams, 44.

 DarinParker, 47, is facing charges for the murder of Karrie Williams. On Sunday morning,Parker called his stepfather and told him he had cuts on his wrists and therewas a dead person in the room. Shortly after, Parker's stepfather called the police.

 Whenthe police found Williams in her apartment, she was still alive.

She wastransported to Trinity Hospital for herinjuries, but they were so severe she died.

 The police Department is classifying this as a domestic violence situation. 

Parkerpleaded guilty back in October for a simple assault where he spent time injail. As part of his sentence, he was not to have any contact with Williams fora year.

 Thenight of Williams' death, Parker admitted that both of them were drinkingand often fight when they drink.     

 "Heintentionally told us that she fell and hit her head on a counter in theapartment and then on the floor. He has told us that he has struck her bothwith his hands and with his feet," says Captain Dan Strandberg, MinotPolice Department.

 Parkerhad his initial hearing this afternoon, and his next court appearance is in April.
