What's Trending 03/07/14

Posted: Updated:

Despite our community's growing economy, some people still need help when it comes to their homes.

Trending this week is a local non-profit Rebuilding Together. This group works to provide critical home repair services to those who are disabled, a little short on money or unable to make repairs on their own.

In the past, they've done jobs like replace windows and make homes wheelchair accessible. These projects have changed the lives of those in our community, but they don't come without a price tag. So, that's why they're hosting their annual Bowling and Silent Auction Fun Day tomorrow.

"People do need help. And this event is a means to educate people that are still in need of assistance about the good old-fashioned neighborly assistance that we provide."

If you'd like to come by and help support Rebuilding Together and all the good they do, here are the details:

  • The bowling and silent auction is tomorrow at Midway Lanes in Mandan.
  • The event is '70s and '80s themed, and if you come dressed up you could win a prize.
  • As of right now they are full for registered bowling teams, but event coordinators say people are more than welcome to watch and participate in the silent auction.
