Main Street Minute: Business Overview

Posted: Updated:

It's hard to drive around Minot and not findsomething new coming to the community. On this week's Main Street Minutewe have a little insight on some new restaurants coming our way.

As you travel around the city, you may have noticed a lot of new buildings popping up.

Whether its a few franchises goingup on the southwest part of town or something new on Broadway, soon there willbe a lot more to choose from.

"Growth seems to be happeningon it's own in response to the population and the sales that the nationalchains are seeing out of North Dakota," says John MacMartin of the Minot AreaChamber of Commerce.

Dickey's Barbecue Pit has taken thespot of Spicy Pickle. And, Dickey's is expected to open at the end of April. They're best known for their barbecue sandwiches as well as their meatplates.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries aremaking the southwest part of town their new home. And, I'm sure you can guesswhat they're known for.

"The growth that was occurringin the early '90s to what's occurring now. This makes it much more fun time to be inMinot," says MacMartin.

And for all of you pizza lovers outthere, Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint is opening and offering more than 45different toppings and three different crusts for you to choose from.

The growth continues. We have reportsthat a Tim Horton's, a café and bake shop will be coming to Minot in early 2015.
