Get Creative, Get Active In A Blizzard

Posted: Updated:

We've had a long winter, and today proves it. But as the temps begin to rise, fitness experts say it's important to get our bodies the exercise and fresh air they crave. Getting outside has plenty of benefits from increased endurance to a change of scenery.

"You can get way more creative outside too. Use your surroundings, anything you can find around you. If you have stairs, start running up and down on the stairs. If you have benches, you can you can do push-ups, triceps dips, squats, all sorts of fun," says personal trainer Emily Vasey.

It's also recommended to wear plenty of layers when exercising outside this time of year.
