NDNA Debates Keystone Pipeline

Posted: Updated:
The second part of the NDNA debates were for the U.S. House race, which has three candidates competing for the state's one house seat.

Incumbent Republican Kevin Cramer, Democrat George Sinner and Libertarian Jack Seamen answered the panelists questions ranging from healthcare to the Keystone XL pipeline. Although all three candidates say they are supportive of the controversial pipeline, they all have very different views of how to get the pipeline approved.

"I've never seen a democrat senator, whose in the majority party, get their leader to call for a vote on the keystone pipeline. That's leadership. I'm proud to say we got to vote on it, and we passed it," says Cramer.

"I've done what I can so far. Now, it's up to the people that are in Congress in Washington to get this done. We need pipelines to safely deliver our products to the market place," says Sinner.

"So, while we're working on these pipelines, I propose that we leave the federal government out of it, and discuss things within the state of North Dakota, like ways we can solve these transportation issues," says Seamen.

The panel also questioned the candidates on healthcare and minimum wage.
