Main Street Minute: ND Guaranty & Title Co.

Posted: Updated:
One of the biggest transactions that most people make is buying a home.

"When they purchase they're home. They need to know that they have good title to the property. The documents that are explained are in a way that they can understand. The only way you can do that is by having experienced professionals in that market,” says Paula Bachmeier the senior VP and manager at North Dakota Guaranty & Title Co.

For Bachmeier, she's been in the business for 40 plus years. She says times have certainly changed.

"Things used to be done on a handshake. I worked in a market years ago where it was here's your $50,000. Here's your deed, and out the door they went,” says Bachmeier.

But, in order to keep a business running, it's important to have close client connections.

"A computer can't talk to you like a person can,” says Bachmeier.

So, to meet the growing demand, they decided to it was time for a move.

"My poor staff was facing a file cabinet,” says Bachmeier.

After a move to 16th St. and a name change they now have a new work area for years to come.

North Dakota Guaranty & Title has an open door policy. So, if you have questions, they're located on 16th St. SW in Minot.

They're opened Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
