It's a very busy week in the world of high school sports. Seven state champions will be determined with the first two being Class B golf.
The boys from Dickinson Trinity are a team that's been close to winning a title before. Last year, the Titans finished in second-place after posting a season-worst 337 in the first round at state.
"We didn't play well then and we didn't win it and the past two years we've wanted to win state and we haven't so there's a little bit of you just want to win it so I think we'll work hard enough to do that," says Trinity sophomore Willy Jahner.
Jahner and the Titans have played well for the most part during the regular season. Trinity had a streak of at least 7-straight tournament wins.
"We've had some tournaments where we've played really well, and we've had some tournaments where we've played bad. We're just going to keep working, and I feel like we can pull some pretty low scores. There's a lot of people who can score in the 70s. It's a matter of being consistent as well we need to work on that but there's a lot of potential on our team," says Jahner.
The Class B boys play at Rose Creek in Fargo on Tuesday and Wednesday. The B girls team will play in Carrington on the 27 and 28.
