Highway Patrol Announces Fatal Crash

An 89-year-old woman is dead after a fatal accident near Hillsboro yesterday.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says Jennifer Myers, 43, and her two passengers Phyllis Gordon, 89, and Paige Myers, 17, were traveling on I-29. Myers slowed down or stopped in the passing lane to cross the median when Abby Sletten, 20, rear-ended her.

Myers and Paige were injured and taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks for treatment. Sletten was treated at Sanford in Fargo.

Gordon did not survive the crash.
