Don't Buy It Until We Try It: Easy View HD

Posted: Updated:

As you're driving down the highway, it can be hard to avoid the sun. And, visors don't seem to help. But, there may be a way to avoid the blinding sun and glare with just a flip.

Whether it is dark tinted windows or sun visors, there are different ways to block the sun while you're driving, but they don't always work.

"The sun visors don’t probably block as well as you need to,” says Jesse Fettig the owner of Collision Solutions. “You might get some reflection off the dash even kind of glaring in your eyes creating a blinding effect."

To hopefully prevent this problem from happening again, we're going to find out if the Easy View HD can help shield drivers for the blinding sun.

"It feels like your average light piece of plastic. It looks like instructions are included, not that it can't be that complicated. It looks similar to a tinted window I guess, not dark by any means. It's got more of a brown versus a black tint, and I would assume that’s kind of your blocker," says Fettig.

We glanced over the instructions, and the Easy View HD was ready to install. Just slide the clips onto the bottom of the sun visor.

Once firmly in place, it was time to drive. You'll notice the slider is in the middle of the Easy View HD.

After we circled the parking lot, we had to make some minor adjustments to the slider in the middle of the Easy View HD.

"I had to slide it out of the way because it was more of a distraction for my eye," says Fettig.

We once again drove around the parking lot, this time with the slider out of the way.

So, did we hit a bright spot with the Easy View HD?

"I’ve been caught many times where I all the sudden need my sunglasses and realize that oh, they're not here where this would have been nice just to ease the eyes. You don't get that strain," says Fettig.

So, this week's "Don't Buy It, Until We Try It," earns a thumbs up.
