Minot Woman Assaults Police Officer

A Minot woman was arrested Friday night after attempting to assault a police officer.

Police say they stopped Alicia Mayho, 30, for not having a front license plate on her vehicle. During the stop, officers found out Mayho had a suspended drivers license through the state of Louisiana.

When officers attempted to handcuff her, she stuck one officer in the face.

She was taken to the Ward County Jail.
