Some good news this morning about former NDSU and Minnesota State University Mankato football player Issac Kolstad.
His family says he's responding to his doctors commands for the first time since being beaten more than three weeks ago.
Kolstad was given a thumbs up to doctors on two different occasions. He suffered a fractured skull and traumatic brain injury in a May 11 fight in downtown Mankato.
He still remains in critical condition.
Two people are facing charges in the case.
