Judge Reschedules Thiel's Preliminary Hearing

Posted: Updated:
Nicholas Thiel, 19, of Minot was in court today for his preliminary hearing. He's facing 19 different charges including luring minors on the internet.

However, the hearing had to be rescheduled because the defendant's lawyer received more than 200 documents about the case.

Thiel used the alias Brandon Heirs to contact several underage children for sex.

His next hearing will be sometime next week. Thiel's lawyer also asked that his bond be lowered but that request was denied. Thiel remains in the Ward County Jail.
