Main Street Minute: Uncle Bill's Texas Style BBQ

Posted: Updated:
With the first day of summer approaching this weekend, what better way to celebrate than by digging into some barbecued food? For part owner, Daniel Montgomery, I think he would agree.

"Its good eats,” says Daniel Montgomery the co-owner of Uncle Bill's Texas Style BBQ.

Montgomery is bringing his Texas style cooking to the area. Uncle Bill's Texas Style BBQ opened up shop just about four weeks ago.

"I just always liked to cook. I like to watch people eat it and be happy, and they like what I make, so that's what I do,” says Montgomery.

From brisket, to sausage, to pulled pork, he smokes everything on site. Depending on the size of the meat, it can take anywhere from 12 to 15 hours to smoke.

"It's a long process,” says Montgomery.

He even has a secret BBQ sauce, but that we couldn't get that out of him.

"We can't share the recipe. It's one of those special things,” says Montgomery.

So, if you're in the mood for some hot items, you can stop by their location on North Broadway. But you'll have to hurry because once it's gone.

"That’s pretty much it,” says Montgomery.

Once again, Uncle Bill's Texas Style BBQ is located on North Broadway. They're open Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
