Force Improvement Program Helps Air Base

Posted: Updated:

As a member of the United States Air Force, the goal is simple: to effectively and safely secure the nation's nuclear force. But, with recent incidents bringing negative attention to the Air Force, Maj. Gen. Jack Weinstein and the Global Strike Command are making changes to improve the current situation.

As part of the Force Improvement Program, airmen provided the Global Strike Command with comments and feedback.

Senior Air Force leaders have implemented changes and identified funding to improve capabilities and address quality of life items.

This includes funding for mission essential parts, long overdue repairs to key facilities and quality of life programs, missile alert and launch control facility upgrades and infrastructure repairs.

"To be clear, changing a culture with 50 plus years of history is not easy and it takes time. It requires all of us to understand where we are headed and for leaders at all levels to adopt these changes as their own,” says Weinstein
