WSI Adjustments Help Injured Workers and Surviving Spouses

Posted: Updated:
Nearly a 1,000 seriously injured workers and surviving spouses will be receiving a 4.1 percent cost of living adjustment starting today.

The maximum weekly benefits will also increase for anyone who is injured on the job after today.

"The other positive part of that for the area and the state of North Dakota is the fact that our employers, the ones who are paying the premium and pay the money that covers our injured workers, they are going to get a premium dividend refund back of approximately 39 percent," says Bryan Klipfel the WSI director.

Cost of living adjustments through WSI have increased an average of 6.6 percent over the last five years.
