Bike Tour Visits North Dakota

Posted: Updated:

More than 200 cyclists flocked to North Dakota this week to participate in a 421-mile bike ride. It's all part of the 2014 Flyway-Byway Candisc Bike Tour that goes throughout the state. New to avid cyclists enjoyed the Midwestern hospitality while taking the in scenic and prairie routes.

The tour is a great way to end the summer with plenty of opportunities to try new eateries, see new sights and form lifelong friendships.

"A week long tour, you're definitely exhausted from it, but a lot of people travel here just right before the summer seasons kind of coming to a wrap and schools starting soon so it's a good week to come. Plus, beautiful weather usually here in North Dakota around then," says director McKaila Matteson."

Participants in the bike tour came from 23 different states.
